The GSE tech modular system operates on two proven gas separation technologies: Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) and membrane filtration. Both methods start with clean, dry compressed air and split it into a concentrated nitrogen stream and an oxygen-enriched waste stream. The choice between PSA and membrane depends on the required purity, capacity, and cost parameters.

PSA technology uses carbon molecular sieves (CMS) to selectively adsorb oxygen molecules under pressure, allowing nitrogen to pass through. Two adsorption vessels work alternately, one producing nitrogen while the other regenerates by depressurizing and flushing out trapped oxygen. This cycle ensures non-stop nitrogen generation. The process can achieve purities up to 99.9995% and is exceptionally efficient for mid-to-high purity applications.
