Operating Principle

The system operates on the principle of selective gas permeation, utilizing significant differences in permeation rates between oxygen, moisture, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen in polymer membrane materials. The purified gas then enters the core hollow fiber membrane stack, where membrane filaments made from high-performance polymers (polysulfone, polyimide, etc.) contain micron-sized pores. Under pressure drive, smaller impurity molecules—oxygen, moisture, and carbon dioxide—permeate rapidly through the membrane walls and are vented. Nitrogen molecules, with slower permeation rates, are retained and concentrated.
